by James Miraflor
Today, I'm filled with
grim despondency; I recognized
that hope, if there is anything
left, is about to die
at this very day,
at this very moment, while
the Left and the Right, and
every- hypocritical -thing in between,
is feasting on the products of
our intellectual labour, which was
to forward the ideals of change,
but was instead used to advance
the stability of the system
we embarked to disrupt
and destroy. And the Left, in
its utter ineptness, capitulated
with the Right which they thought
they can fool,
and so the Left was fooled,
accommodated, used. So today, hope
is in peril; it might as well die
as the Left's genuine resolve
to struggle died
this day.
